Jennifer is made a Freeman of Newcastle

Congratulations to Jennifer Staward on being made a Freeman of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. Jennifer has the most important job at Wearset (she organises the wages) and has now been officially sworn in as a Freeman at a ceremony held in the Guildhall.
What’s New? – Amy Ekins and Rachel Grieves

As part of Wearset’s continual development and improvement, in November we introduced two new staff members. Amy and Rachel are both graduates of English Literature and Creative Writing (Amy 2010, Rachel 2009) and are in the midst of a twelve month on-the-job training programme.
Answer Checking
How much value do students and teachers place on the accuracy of the answers provided at the back of the book?
Imagine a teacher asking their class to complete the set of exercises provided in the student book as homework. At the start of the next class, several students are confused as they could not get the same answer as the ‘correct’ one at the back of the book. On checking, the teacher finds the answer is inaccurate, but the damage has been done – the students’ confidence has been knocked, the teacher has become wary about answer accuracy and your brand has been damaged…
